Violent Fems Ambush Party

The Alliance of Wimps for Placating Violent Women request your presence at an undisclosed location in Manhattan on September 12, 2010. It is known that the group of recalcitrant vigilantes, called The Violent Fems, will be gathering on this night to size up potential victims. This is an opportunity for submissive men to sacrifice their hides for a good cause- re: making the streets of NYC safe again for other, unsuspecting weaklings. A $40 pre-paid fee will guarantee any victim the chance to be baptized in the sadistic waters of their wrath. $10 at the door will get you in to meet them. But beware! Anarchy will be the only rule at this gathering, so be prepared!

Ode to Duck Tape

Or as I call it, Duct Tape. You know, because it is used to seal ducts.

I consider myself a bit of a tape aficionado. There are so many different types, they can be incorporated into play in a variety of ways, and not just as bondage. The different widths, thicknesses, pliabilites, and of course, levels of stickiness... *Swoon!*

My Tape Bag contains a variety of items and I find myself experimenting quite a bit.

-Duct Tape: Very sticky and available in a variety of colors and patterns. Bondage, gagging, hair removal. Becomes easier to remove from skin as tapee perspires. May also be woven into fabric and used to mummify.

-Packing Tape: Stickiness varies by brand. Variety of widths and colors, although I stick (*chuckle*) with clear. Good gag for first time tape-over-the-mouth-er. I enjoy look, sound, and feel of packing tape over plastic wrap mummification.

-Masking Tape: Not all that sticky on skin. Tears easily unless it's cheap, in which case, don't bother with it because it is impossible to peel. Ideal adhesive for incorporating into some paper fetishes.

-Double Sided Tape: Tricky to use, but fun. Great for between the lips before covering mouth with something else, as well as attaching other objects to the tapee.

-Electrical Tape: Variety of colors. Sticky, but not impossible to remove. Nice for decoration or taping a person to an object. Also handy if you like to modify your electrics.

-Self Adhesive Bandages: Not exactly tape, but it's adhesive and on a roll, so here it is! One of my favorites for bondage, as it has give, along with being easy to use. Plus, you can launder and use again, although stickiness is reduced with repeated use.

-Self Adhesive Vinyl Tape: Still experimenting with this one. It's like having a roll of Colorforms! Not really adhesive... yet it's neato for bondage over gummi.

-Fabric Tape: Am liking this more and more. Wide variety of colors and prints! CBT bondage, for sure.

-Painters' Tape: Not terribly adhesive. It's kind of like masking tape, but blue. If anyone has ideas for this tape, I am open to hear them, as I haven't found a lot of uses as of yet.

-Clear Tape: aka 'scotch tape.' If you are doing a mummification using clear tape, be prepared with a bus load of the stuff, preferably in loose rolls, not the plastic dispensers. A lot of work, but a super cool experience. The matte isn't as sticky as the shiny, however, it is easier to use.

-Plumber's Tape: Thin and rolls up too much lengthwise.

-Metal Flashing Tape: A work in process. I am intrigued by anything metal and have been studying how to use this tape safely. It seems for the time being, applying a less sticky adhesive to metal foil is the best (safest and simplest!) procedure to get the look I desire.

The only adhesive roll I do not use in play is gaffer's tape. That I keep at home, since it repairs anything and everything. I even used it to make a pillow! Sigh. I heart gaff.

Tape fetishism is not the largest or most indulged interest in bdsm. However, I find it one of the most exciting and fascinating. Now, what to do with this new box of UGlu strips...
